From In Review to Published: understanding lot status
What Matter's public lot statuses mean and why unavailable or pending information is never presented as a passing result.

In Review means no public result yet
A lot marked In Review has a public identity record, but its analytical documentation has not completed Matter's release process. The status does not imply a passing or failing result, and the lot is not represented as released inventory.
Matter does not fill pending fields with illustrative values. The public record remains explicit about what is unavailable until a real laboratory document is received and matched.
Published means the document is released
Published status means the displayed laboratory record has been matched to the Matter lot and released to the public COA Library. The page reports only the methods and results present in that lot-specific record.
- The lot number remains the primary lookup key.
- The laboratory and document identifier stay visible for traceability.
- Testing dates and reported methods are displayed without expanding their scope.
- A published COA is documentation, not a claim of medical, veterinary, diagnostic, or therapeutic suitability.
